On Christmas Eve, the Millers were getting ready for Christmas.
David: And grandma April’s coming, isn’t she?
Sarah: She should be here any moment now…
Lizzie: Well, I did invite Landon over.
David: You didn’t.
Lizzie: What? He’s been a real grinch and I want to give him the best Christmas ever to give him some of that Christmas spirit!
David: No offense, Lizzie, but you tried that with our ancestor, Terrance, last year. It didn’t work. Remember, he ended up almost destroying Royal Woods?
Lizzie: But Landon is totally different! It’ll work! I promise!
David rolled his eyes.
Greg came rushing in.
Greg: David! We need to go to 1502! Varian and Cassandra need our help!
David: What happened?!
Greg: Just come on!
David and Greg rushed to their room.
Robert and Riley came out of the kitchen.
Robert: The Christmas dinner is almost ready! We’ll still need time on the cookies.
Todd: Awesome! You two never disappoint!
Riley: I just love cooking for all of you!
Robert and Riley went back into the kitchen.
Sarah: It’s strange April hasn’t shown up.
Todd: Yeah. Mother’s never late for Christmas. It’s her favorite holiday!
Brittany: I’m sure she’ll be here soon.
Henry: I just hope this Christmas will be good.
Emma: I’m sure it will be.
Lizzie: Especially if we’re all together!

Meanwhile, David and Greg landed in Corona.
Varian and Cassandra were headed to the castle.
David and Greg went up to them.
Varian: David! Greg!
Cassandra: Aren’t you supposed to be in 2020? It’s Christmas!
David: We heard you needed help.
Varian: Okay. We admit it. We do need help.
Cassandra: We’re not having a good Christmas!
David: What happened?
Varian: We can’t tell you here. Let’s go back to your time.
Greg: Alright. Let’s go!
Greg turned on his wrist-watch and a portal sucked in David, Greg, Varian, and Cassandra.

David, Greg, Varian, and Cassandra landed in David, Greg, Henry, and Robert’s room.
Varian: Okay, so you wanna know why we’re not having a good Christmas…
David: We really do!
Cassandra: It’s Zhan Tiri! She’s ruining everyone’s Christmas!
Varian: It’s our first Christmas engaged - and Zhan Tiri wants us to break off our engagement.
Greg: I don’t believe this.
Cassandra: It’s just like her, you know. We’re staying here until she’s in the Lost Realm again.
Varian: Knowing Zhan Tiri, it’s never.
David: But you can’t stay here forever. I’ll tell you what, you are free to spend Christmas with us! And then after Christmas, we’ll send you back to Corona.
Greg: But will mom and dad be okay with them staying here?
David: I’m positive! And I heard Robert and Riley made Christmas cookies!
Greg: Varian, Cassandra, do you want any?
Varian: Of course we do!
Cassandra: Let’s go!
David, Greg, Varian, and Cassandra left excitedly.

David, Greg, Varian, and Cassandra came into the living room with some Christmas cookies.
Sarah and Todd noticed Varian and Cassandra.
Sarah: Varian? Cassandra?
Todd: What are you doing here?
Cassandra: David and Greg invited us to spend Christmas here.
Varian: You know. To get away from Zhan Tiri.
Sarah: Say no more!
Todd: You are welcome here any time.
David: You mean it?
Sarah: Of course!
Just then, the doorbell rang.
David: That must be grandma April! I’ll get it!
David rushed over to the door and opened it.
It was Landon.
David rolled his eyes.
David: Ugh. Landon.
Landon: Can you get out of my way, nerd? Lizzie invited me.
Lizzie went to the door and saw Landon.
Lizzie: Landon! Let’s do one thing I know you’ll love!
Landon rolled his eyes.
Landon: Sure, whatever, Lizzie. But you know I’ll never like Christmas.
Lizzie: Never say never!
Lizzie and Landon left.
David: Man, he’s obnoxious.
David went back over to Varian and Cassandra.
Cassandra: So, what do you even DO for Christmas?
Varian: My dad and I always just did alchemy experiments and he gave me new potions.
Cassandra: Well, as for me… I never really had a happy Christmas. My mom abandoned me and I never knew my dad. So I was just always training to be a guard. For no reward.
Greg: All that’s gonna change!
David: Yeah! Cause you’re gonna spend Christmas with us Millers!
Cassandra: Oh, sweet!

During dinner, the Millers, Landon, Varian, and Cassandra all sat around the dining room table.
Robert and Riley came out with a bunch of ribs, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and mashed potatoes.
David: This looks delectable!
Landon scoffed.
Landon: I’ve seen better.
Robert: Well, let’s dig in!
Cassandra took a bite out of the ribs on her plate.
Cassandra: This is way delectable. Back in Corona, I never got such good food.
Varian: This is amazing!
Riley: Why, thank you.
Landon barely touched any of the dinner.
Landon: Well, I’m out. This meal sucks!
Landon ran out of the room.
Lizzie: Landon, wait!
Lizzie ran after Landon.
Emma: Sooo, when’s grandma April supposed to get here?
Brittany: I’ve been dying to give her a gigantic origami card I’ve been working on all year!
Henry: And share with her my various math equations.
Todd: You know, I’m not too sure. She called earlier and said she got stuck in a big snowstorm in Third Street, and well…
Sarah: She might not get here until New Years.
David: That stinks!
Greg: I know! Christmas just isn’t the same without grandma April!
Robert: I know! She’s come every year with no problems.
Sarah: Well… You never know. Christmas IS the time for miracles.
David: You don’t honestly believe that.
Cassandra: If you knew my current situation, you should know that isn’t true.
Varian: But at least we’re all together now.
David: Yeah…

Meanwhile, in Lizzie, Emma, and Brittany’s room, Lizzie was trying to get Landon to talk about his feelings.
Lizzie: What’s wrong? Why do you hate Christmas so much?
Landon: You wouldn’t understand.
Lizzie: I really would.
Landon sighed.
Landon: My dad died a few months ago, and usually HE made Christmas really great in my house. And my mom works a lot and has no time to spend with me… I… just feel alone.
Lizzie: You’ll always be welcome here.
Landon: But David… He doesn’t like me for some reason.
Lizzie: You know, you do have a tendency to be really arrogant and obnoxious. Try considering how others may feel.
Landon scoffed.
Landon: Gee thanks.
Lizzie: Why don’t you spend the night? You’ll see how us Millers spend Christmas.
Landon rolled his eyes.
Landon: Yeah, sure. But I make no promises I’ll enjoy myself. Cause I won’t.
Lizzie sighed.
Lizzie: Well, it’s a start.

The next morning, on Christmas Eve, everyone gathered around by the tree and was opening presents.
Lizzie handed Landon a Christmas present.
He opened it.
It was two packages of Zombie Bran cereal and its Raisin the Dead cereal.
Landon teared up.
Landon: How’d you know that’s what I wanted?
David handed Varian and Cassandra two gifts.
Varian and Cassandra opened them.
Varian’s gift was a new alchemy book.
Cassandra’s gift was a picture of Terrance, her dad.
Varian: Sweet! A new alchemy book!
Cassandra: And THIS is my dad? My real dad?
David: It sure is!
Greg: We MET him in 998! He was a… sweet kid… who needed some love.
Cassandra smiled.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
David: I’ll get it!
David opened the door.
It was April.
David: Grandma!
April: I finally made it out of the snowstorm!
David and April went into the living room.
David: Grandma April’s here, everyone!
The Miller siblings rushed up to April and gave her a hug.
Greg: So glad you could make it!
Henry: Are you okay?
Lizzie: I hope everything’s going well with you!
Emma: Let’s all catch up!
Robert: I made you some brownies!
Riley: And they’re mint chocolate chip brownies, your favorite!
Brittany: And I made you a sweet card, too!
April: You kids are amazing.
The Millers, Riley, April, Varian, Cassandra, and Landon all sat by the tree and exchanged more gifts.
